Here is a list of professional development opportunities from the British Council website. Most of the events are geared towards teachers working in difficult circumstances. Some are conferences and others are online events.

Why Teachers Leave – and Possible Solutions

On paper, teaching seems like the perfect job. Summers at home, the workday ends at three, you’re off when your kids are off, and we get to work with children all day long. I mean, what more could one possibly want? As with life, things are not always what they seem.

Finger Wigglers

These are finger puppets that can be made from simple materials in a short time and low cost. Below is an instructional video and four tracing templates (in case you are not good at drawing) You can add colors and details to the puppets to fit your own teaching needs. To download the templates just right click and "save image as" to your computer. A materials list is at the end of this post.  Enjoy!

4 sheets of A4 color paper (Bristol board or card stock)
yellow, green, pink, and blue (160 gram)

1 sheet of white copy paper
Scissors, glue stick, cutter (xacto knife)    

Assorted color pencils and a regular leaded pencil
